Useful technology, built carefully.
NexusAI LLC builds AI-powered products and custom software for businesses. We are early, we are small, and we would rather do a few things properly than list capabilities we can’t stand behind.
Approach
How we think about the work
Four positions that decide what we build and, more often, what we talk a business out of building.
- 01
Technology should be useful before it is impressive
The interesting part of a system is what it removes from someone's day. If we can't describe that in a sentence, we haven't found the problem yet.
- 02
AI is a component, not a product
It is very good at language, judgement calls, and the messy inputs conventional software handles badly. It belongs where it does real work, wired into systems that are dependable in the ordinary ways.
- 03
Software should reduce complexity
Most tools add a place to check, a field to fill in, a process to remember. We try to leave a business with fewer moving parts than it had.
- 04
Data is only worth collecting if it changes a decision
A dashboard nobody acts on is a cost. We start from the decision being made and work backwards to what is actually needed to make it.
Where we are now
NexusAI is an early-stage company. Our first product, the AI Receptionist, is in early access, and we take on a small number of custom builds alongside it.
That means you deal with the people writing the software. It also means we are selective about what we take on — if a project needs something we aren’t the right team for, we will say so early.
